Ep. 209: The Recipe For A Lack of Contentment

While we were having one of our legacy meetings the other morning, the conversation took a turn (which it does at times). I (Sway) knew from experience that we are in the middle of a ‘liquid gold’ conversation. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to have a heart-to-heart convo with my husband then you know he is a deep well of wisdom. He is definitely a thinker. (I’m more of the jumper type! LOL) Well, while he was sharing such rare gold in the convo, I did something that I don’t necessarily advise-but it all worked out in the end. I recorded my husband without him knowing. 😬

Here’s the thing,  I knew we wouldn’t be able to recreate the raw emotion and essence of the convo. So, I gently pressed the record button on my phone and put it as close to him as I could without him noticing. (note: He likely would have kept talking if he knew I was recording BUT it would NOT have been the same).
Thankful, he approved of it and we get to share this gold with you today on the Marriedpreneur Life podcast. It was a heart convo around the goal, contentment, and God. So good y’all! So good.

So, here’s what ‘we’re’ (as in, O.L., he’s the ‘we’re’) talking about on episode 209 of the Marriedpreneur Life podcast: (I hope you enjoy it because I put myself out there to get it done to share it!)

📝 How to have the mental and spiritual equipment to appropriate disappointment (and how that speaks to our contentment)
📝 Why productivity is NOT the end-all, be-all (it’s a tool for something much greater).
📝 How NOT to build from a warped view of faith and instead build from a place of ACTUAL faith.

By the time you finish listening to this episode, you’ll have a deeper understanding of real contentment in your heart concerning life, marriage, business, everything. In effect, you’ll be focused on being fulfilled AS you build instead of waiting UNTIL it’s built.

If you’re a marriage coach or married entrepreneur seeking to build out a profitable launch or relaunch business strategy, you can still join in and catch the replays while they last! Head over to www.LoveandLaunchSecrets.com/register to join in!

ENJOYING THE JOURNEY TOGETHER action items:
This ETJT segment is to position you guys to easily implement the principles shared in the main segment of this episode. Here are a few of the talking points below, but you’ll have to listen in to the episode to get all of them:

  • Ask yourself how well you handle disappointment? How quickly do you bounce back?
  • Do an assessment with your spouse next after you’ve done your own and ask for a rating of 1-5 concerning your response to disappointments in business (1 being a tantrum toddler- 5 is a fully developed adult who bounces back after a reasonable amount of time)
  • And more on this episode…
